    Alan & Christy Stockdale, DVM

    Drs.Alan and Christy grew up in Michigan and attended Michigan State University. There they both earned their  Doctorates of Veterinary Medicine  in 1989. After graduation, they each worked in private practices in the downriver Detroit area. In 1991, they returned to Dr. Alan's hometown of Coloma and opened Wil-O-Paw Animal Hospital. Dr. Alan &  Dr. Christy have been blessed with two children- Alan and Grace, who attend Grace Christian School in Watervliet. Their "family" currently has 6 dogs, 5 cats, a horse and a goat.  When not caring for clients pets, they enjoy spending time with their children and their church family at Coloma Bible Church.  Dr. Alan's hobbies include: running, cycling, cross-country sking, coaching track and competing in triathlons. He also serves on the school board at Grace Christian.  Dr. Christy enjoys her pet visitation ministry at Orchard Grove Nursing Home in South Haven with her amazing dog, Buddy. She has also played percussion in the Southshore Concert Band since1993.

  • Kim Case , DVM

    Kim Case , DVM

    Dr. Case is a graduate of Michigan State University.  She met her husband, Wade, (who is also a veterinarian) while attending MSU.  After graduation, Dr. Case lived in Virginia, Maryland, and Massachusetts as her husband spent 11 years in the military.  In 1994, Dr. Case and her family came to call Michigan their home. She has three grown children. Dr. Case enjoys the challenges of critical care and internal medicine as she has several years of experience in these areas from working at an animal emergency clinic.  Outside of the clinic, Dr. Case is an active leader for 4-H working with children involved with in the dog program.  She also plays the handbells at her church.  In her spare time, Dr. Case enjoys gardening, riding horses, sewing, and maintaining the homestead.  Dr. Case currently has many pets of her own:  2 dogs, 1 cat, 4 horses and several chickens and turkeys.

    Karen

    Practice Manager-  Karen has been the Practice Manager at Wil-O-Paw for the past year. She is responsible for making sure you and your pet have a great experience at Wil-O-Paw. Please feel free to email her at kziebart-wilopaw@sbcglobal.net  if you have any comments or concerns about our staff or hospital.  Karen and her husband, Jeff, are the parents of two daughters, Becky and Michelle. Outside activities including watching lots of Michelle's volleyball, basketball and softball games, gardening, antiquing and involvement at Christ Lutheran Church and School in Stevensville.

    Wende

    Business Manager- Wende has been with our hospital since 1994. Her responsibilities include: bookkeeping, computer maintenance, and enhancing the computer software as well as training the doctors and staff to use it efficiently. Her many years of experience also enable her to assist the receptionists and technicians as well. When not at work, Wende enjoys spending time with her family, is active in her church, and is now serving as a member of the Covert Schools PTSA. Her hobbies include knitting for the needy, social networking, movies, music and reading.

    Mary

    Veterinary Technician-  Mary has been working at Wil-O-Paw since 1993. Besides her duties as a technician, Mary likes to make the animals comfortable by finding the right itchy spots and excels in the art of puppy belly-scratching. Mary's hobbies include showing horses, dirt track car racing, and shopping for antiques. In addition to taking care of her husband, Mary also is responsible for her 4 horses, the family dog, and many barn cats. She also coaches the Lakeshore Jr. & Sr. Equestrian teams.

    Holly

    Veterinary Technician/Massage Therapist-  Holly joined our team in January 2008. Besides from being a great tech, she is also certified as an Animal Massage Therapist. So if your pet is having mobility problems, please give her a call. Wil-O-Paw's Facebook page is also maintained by Holly and she would love for you to send your pet pictures or stories to her! Holly is also a farrier and horse trainer. Her passion in life is rescuing and rehabilitating strays and finding them great new families.

    Head Veterinary Technician-  Kathy is our Head Technician. Besides her responsibilities in veterinary medicine and surgical technology, Kathy has a keen interest in behavioral medicine and has attended advanced obedience courses. Kathy enjoys going to veterinary conferences and learning about the new advances in veterinary medicine, especially those pertaining to cats, and how to implement them into the hospital. Kathy personally owns 6 cats and 2 dogs. She also is involved in pet-sitting in her spare time. Kathy enjoys being active in her church, reading and is always studying and learning new things.

    Ashley

    Receptionist-  Ashley recently graduated with honors from Western Michigan University majoring in Arabic and Political Science. She has many pets, but her favorite are her cat named Chester and her Australian Shepherd named Tiger. She loves to participate at her church and volunteers regularly at the local Humane Society. Ashley also enjoys training dogs in obedience and competing with Tiger.

When not at work, Michelle and her husband, Joe, can be seen riding their Harley's around town or watching their daughter, Kenzie's, many school or sporting events.

    Rene

    Head Groomer- Rene grew up in a boarding and grooming kennel owned by her parents and learned how to groom at the age of 12. Rene attends many grooming seminars to keep her knowledge up-to-date. Rene also has been raising Standard Poodles for over 15 years and enjoys the artistry that is involved with grooming and styling pets. Currently, Rene keeps busy taking care of her husband, Tim, and her pets when she is not working here at Wil-O-Paw. They have two grown daughters and three grandchildren. Her outside hobbies include gardening and cooking.

    Teresa

    Grooming Assistant- Teresa works with Rene in the pet styling salon here at Wil-O-Paw. Teresa has been working in the pet grooming business for 20 years. She has been around animals all her life and grew up on a dairy farm. While not working, she enjoys playing with her cats and dogs as well as reading, needlepoint, and scrap-booking.
